Business Office Manager - $2,500 Hiring Bonus!

Wilber Care Center is currently seeking a Business Office Manager to lead the daily operations of our business office and support the financial health of our skilled nursing and assisted living facility.
Financial & Billing Operations
- Manage accounts payable and receivable and billing processes
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries and ensure timely financial reporting
- Prepare monthly financial statements, income & expense reports, and budget-to-actual reports
- Reconcile bank accounts for facility
- Monitor revenue cycle, including payment posting and insurance billing
- Coordinate Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and hospice billing
- Manage and track capital expenditures and depreciation schedules
- Ensure timely follow-up and collection on delinquent accounts
Administrative & Compliance Duties
- Serve as the primary point of contact for residents, families, staff, and vendors regarding billing and financial concerns
- Assist with Medicaid application and renewal processes as needed
- Prepare CMS-required documentation including Payroll-Based Journal (PBJ) submissions
- Support annual audit preparation and participate in budget development
- Oversee census activity reporting and financial balancing with other departments
- Ensure HIPAA, OSHA, and CMS compliance in all financial operations
Customer Service & Office Leadership
- Greet visitors, answer calls, and support walk-in inquiries with professionalism and care
- Work closely with Human Resources on employee onboarding and benefits tracking
- Support a positive, respectful, and fun office culture while promoting teamwork and efficiency
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years in accounting or billing (Healthcare/Skilled Nursing Facility preferred)
- Associate's degree in accounting or related field (will accept experience in lieu of education)
- Must be at least 19 years old with a valid driver's license
- Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and Nebraska reimbursement systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Matrixcare experience preferred)
- Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
