We are seeking a detail oriented Senior Revenue Accountant that will be responsible for overseeing key aspects of the revenue accounting and order-to-cash process. Core responsibilities include converting sales orders, processing customer invoices, applying cash receipts, and supporting collections. The position also manages sales tax filings and payments, reviews commission reporting, and contributes to monthly close activities through journal entry preparation and account reconciliations. Additional duties include cash tracking, bank reconciliations, and assisting with audit and tax workpaper preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with Account Management on order to cash process. Initiates sales order conversions and generates deposit invoices. Reviews and processes detailed invoices. Ensures proper revenue recognition and sales tax application. Closes projects in ERP upon billing completion.
  • Applies customer payments (electronic, checks, credit cards) to appropriate invoices and customer accounts timely in accounting system ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Utilizes third party payment sites as necessary to comply with customer requirements.
  • Provides periodic reports of accounts receivable aging, cash receipts, and other related activity to Account Management teams and company management
  • Responsible for reviewing and performing commission calculations and related accounting and reporting of sales commissions monthly resulting from billing and collection activities.
  • Responsible for sales tax compliance and administration. Files sales tax reports and remits payments on a timely basis. Obtains exemption certificates as appropriate and maintains knowledge of current laws to ensure overall compliance.
  • Updates daily cash tracking/reconciliation and support preparation of weekly cash forecasts for company management.
  • Supports banking activity as needed while maintaining proper internal controls, wire, and transfer initiation. Performs bank reconciliations.
  • Responsible for assigned monthly close tasks including, but not limited to, the closing of Accounts Receivable, and customer projects, preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and other analysis. Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and completeness as it pertains to the close process.
  • Researches and analyzes variances and unusual transactions as identified. Works with Account Teams in collection efforts Communicate and resolve as appropriate.
  • Assists with year-end audit and income tax workpaper preparation as well as support budget and forecasting process.
  • Recommends, establishes, and maintains controls and process improvements across a range of activities to ensure accuracy, provide safeguards, and improve efficiency.
  • Performs system testing as required for software implementations, upgrades, enhancements, corrections, and changes.
  • Backup and support other accounting department functions as needed.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for:

  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 5 or more years of related experience and working knowledge of principles of ASC606.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and people skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite and financial software packages; must have good working knowledge of excel.
  • Working knowledge of sales tax laws and regulations.
  • Netsuite accounting system experience a plus.
  • Tradeshow industry experience a plus.
  • Must possess a customer service attitude for internal and external customers. Must demonstrate professional acumen. Ability to deliver results accurately and on time.

Pay: $70,000-$85,000 annually
