You will analyze, review, and report test results and quality control results, and ensure specimen integrity by adhering to laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing.** + **You will complete moderate and high complexity testing and follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analysis, reporting, and maintaining patient result records** + **You will correctly receive specimens, print labels, and enter and verify patient data without errors** + **You will operate and troubleshoot test systems** + **You will identify problems which may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results** + **You will ensure that test selection and reference ranges are age-appropriate** + **You will ensure timely availability of laboratory results** + **You will perform quality control activities appropriate to each assay performed and respond appropriately to outlier results** + **You will participate in proficiency testing activities in each applicable technical area** **What qualifications you will need:** **Experience** + **2 years of generalist and blood bank experience in acute care setting - preferred** **Education** + **Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field** + **Graduation from a clinical rotation or internship from an accredited medical technology program OR, 50-week military training course or acceptable equivalent which results in eligibility to take registry exam in medical technology (Clinical Laboratory Science).** **Licenses and Certifications** + **Registration as a Medical Technologist (MT) by American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), National Credentialing Agency (NCA), or American Medical Technologists (AMT) OR, evidence of a passing registry exam score within 1 year of hire** **Benefits** St. David's Round Rock Medical Center, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
