Description Robert Half Legal is partnering with a boutique civil litigation firm in search of a highly skilled Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team. Key Responsibilities: + Manage all aspects of civil litigation cases, including legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and correspondence with courts and opposing counsel. + Represent clients in hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials. + Assist in case development by analyzing legal issues, developing case strategies, and maintaining case files. + Maintain effective client communication, provide legal advice, and address client needs promptly. + Collaborate with the firm's partners and other team members to ensure high-quality service delivery. + Monitor and meet deadlines for filings and ensure compliance with state and local court rules. + Stay current on legal developments and changes in the laws relevant to civil litigation practice. Requirements Qualifications: + Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in the state bar (required). + Ideally 2-3 years of civil litigation experience in a law firm setting. + Strong knowledge of civil procedure and local court rules. + Proven ability to handle all stages of litigation independently, including trial preparation and courtroom experience. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail. + Tech-savvy with experience using legal research platforms (e.g., LexisNexis or Westlaw) and case management tools. + Ability to work efficiently in a remote or hybrid environment with minimal supervision.
