deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Senior Software Integration Engineer in Colorado Springs, CO.
Position Description: deciBel Research is seeking a senior level software engineer to support software engineering efforts on the Ground Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Weapon System (GWS) program in Colorado Springs, CO. Job duties include:
- Maintain lab and mininode configurations to include adding, removing, updating redhat package manager modules (RPMs) for testing/verification
- Produce lab runs to test and evaluate new software capabilities as well as perform daily log file management
- Create scenarios and input files to evaluate specific conditions and software behaviors in the GMD Fire Control software
- Perform message tracing between portions of GFC software to ensure system functions as intended
- Investigate and document issues discovered during lab runs and provide log files to software developers
- Attain/Maintain Security+ certification and continuation education training requirements for a privileged user account
- Support daily Scrum meetings
Target salary range: $130,000.00 - $180,000.00. This target salary represents an estimated range for this position based on experience, degree and other factors.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM-related field
Experience Requirements:
- 14+ years with Bachelor's degree; 12+ years with Master's degree
- Fundamental understanding of the systems engineering process and experience with system development of a software-centric product (preferably with a system in a system of systems type environment)
- Experience generating scripts and a fundamental understanding of software development with the ability to troubleshoot and support software integration efforts
- Possess strong critical-thinking and solid problem-solving skills coupled with an innate desire to learn
- Detail oriented at both the macro and micro levels along with a willingness to assess software from both perspectives
- Well-organized and intrinsically motivated to work with limited direction in a dynamic team environment, often requiring the ability to successfully juggle competing priorities
- Possess strong verbal/written communications skills to work effectively in a small technical team environment with both collocated and geographically dispersed team members
- Familiar with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Power Point.
- Desire and curiosity to learn more about the components of GMD and how they fit together and communicate
Special Skills Desired:
- Current Security+ certification
- GMD experience
- Missile Defense Agency (MDA) experience
- Experience with application software and systems that contain Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs), logical and mathematical solutions in a Linux environment
- C++, Java, ADA
- Linux GUI building tools, such as Eclipse and GPS
