Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Auditor to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and execute critical audit processes for a banking client, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in auditing, business process design, and accounting systems. Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive audits of financial and operational processes to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. - Develop and implement detailed audit plans, ensuring all key risk areas are evaluated. - Perform business process testing to identify areas for improvement and recommend actionable solutions. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and document the effectiveness of internal controls. - Prepare and present detailed audit findings and reports to stakeholders, highlighting key risks and recommendations. - Utilize auditing tools such as CaseWare and CCH ProSystem Fx to streamline audit processes and maintain accuracy. - Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and other relevant regulatory frameworks. - Contribute to the design and execution of audit programs tailored to the organization's needs. - Support the implementation of industry best practices, including COBIT frameworks, to enhance audit quality and efficiency. Requirements - Minimum of 7 years of experience in auditing or a related field. - Proficiency in using accounting software systems such as CaseWare and CCH ProSystem Fx. - Strong understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and internal control frameworks. - Hands-on experience with business process design and evaluation. - Familiarity with audit methodologies, including planning, execution, and reporting. - Knowledge of industry standards (banking) such as COBIT and their application in audit processes. - Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to identify risks and recommend improvements. - Excellent communication skills to effectively present findings to stakeholders.
