POSITION SUMMARY
Reports to: Director of Sales
This position offers a fully remote option for candidates based in the New York, Boston, or Philadelphia areas, and a hybrid option for those based in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
Destination DC is seeking a results-driven Convention Sales Manager to lead business development efforts across the East Region.
In this role, you will create momentum through disciplined prospecting and strategic networking rather than waiting for leads to arrive. As a proven closer with a track record of converting opportunities into signed business, you will serve as a territory expert, managing a complex region by prioritizing accounts that drive maximum value for our destination. You will take full ownership of your territory, focusing on the corporate, association, and pharmaceutical sectors to secure large group hotel bookings and small-to-mid-size convention center programs that drive significant economic impact.
Above all, you are a passionate DC Ambassador, capable of authentically selling the District's unique offerings across diverse market segments to position Washington, DC as a premier global destination.
