Job Description

Hours

Monday-Friday 9 am - 5 am

 

PURPOSE

Responsible for accurate data entry into Transformations to create shop orders, mix orders, and purchase orders. Perform a broad range of duties relating to production and inventory control relevant to supply chain management to ensure production flows smoothly.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Make and update shop orders, mix orders, and cut tickets
  • Allocate fabric
  • Review data for deficiencies or errors.
  • Verify data by comparing it to source documents
  • Review Excel spreadsheets to understand material needs driven by the production plan
  • Create purchase orders and route for approvals as necessary. Must monitor and track outstanding purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Collaborate with Production Scheduling, Manufacturing, Sales, and Mixing for accurate forecasting, inventory levels, and delivery schedules
  • Coordinate incoming freight pickup of raw materials.
  • Responsible for ordering and keeping adequate stock of items in supply room and key process items.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
  • Basic understanding of databases.
  • Good command of English both oral and written and customer service skills.
  • Great attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing processes

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting preferred

LANGUAGE ABILITY

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and work instructions.

MATH ABILITY

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.) applications and computer technology.
