General Requirements:
- Complies with Oak Hill Country Club's Acorns of Excellence.
- Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and dressed in accordance with Oak Hill Country Club's appearance standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Anticipate guest and contact needs, ascertain satisfaction, and respond urgently and appropriately to concerns and requests.
- Exceptional communication abilities when interacting with associates, guests, clients and internal departments to build relationships.
- Able to consistently perform tasks with little direct supervision.
- Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers.
Job Requirements:
- Part-time position (30-35 hours per week)
- Maintain a visible presence in the Golf Shop and on the sales floor
- Dress professionally and maintain a well-groomed appearance in accordance with Oak Hill grooming standards
- Promote goodwill and exceptional service to members and guests
- Maintain a clean, refreshed, uncluttered, and organized golf shop and storage room
- Educate staff in proper selling and merchandising techniques
- Assist PGA Director of Retail in Merchandising OHU seminar
- Assist with member loyalty programs
- Assist with all aspects of special-order program including timely communication with the customer
- Assist PGA Director of Retail in formulating pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities, determining sales promotions, authorizing clearance sales, and studying trends to develop annual buying plan.
- Assist with quarterly inventory
- Update and maintain all vendor contact information
- Assist with the receipt of incoming merchandise and tagging with sku labels
- Change mannequins and displays
- Stay current with all Gold Book rules while answering the telephone to reserve tee times, lessons, and assisting with tournament signups
- Other duties as provided
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to continuously sit, stand and walk a minimum of 8 hours.
- Must be able to bend, kneel, push and pull over the course of a shift.
- All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Oak Hill's appearance standards.
- Will be required to perform job functions outdoors and be exposed to sun, heat, humidity and other elements.
- Must be able to work a flexible shift that includes early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, split shifts, and extended shifts.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must have a reliable form of transportation to and from work.
Qualifications:
- Retail experience preferred
- Must possess a friendly and positive personality with a focus on building relationships with members and staff
- Computer expertise mandatory; proficient in Microsoft Word/Publisher/PowerPoint/Outlook
- Possess excellent communications skills and the ability to manage multiple projects/tasks at the same time
- Basic golf knowledge is preferred
Education:
- High school or equivalent education required.
Experience:
- Country club experience strongly preferred.
