Impact Alliance is seeking a detail-oriented Cutting Die Maker to join our production team. This role supports the manufacturing process by building and repairing steel rule dies used in die cutting operations. Cut, bend, and notch steel rule based on die layout specifications
Install steel rule into die boards using proper tooling techniques
Read and interpret customer specifications, layouts, and work orders
Operate auto-bending equipment to process rule materials
Apply proper rubbering requirements for dies
Perform die revisions, repairs, and maintenance as needed
Document project activity on job cards and work orders
Submit material requests to the materials department or automated rule processor
Inspect materials to ensure correct height and rule type based on specifications
Identify and report non-conforming materials or products to the department supervisor
Troubleshoot production or quality issues and escalate concerns when necessary
Maintain quality control standards throughout the manufacturing process
Assist with training and onboarding new team members
High School Diploma or GED required
Entry-level or prior experience in die making, die cutting, or manufacturing environments preferred
Ability to read a tape measure to 1/32 inch
Strong attention to detail and quality standards
Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand tools and production equipment
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to stand for extended periods on concrete or rubber flooring
Frequent walking when moving dies between work areas
Ability to lift up to 65 pounds (greater weights with assistance)
Regular bending, stooping, and reaching to retrieve materials and supplies
Repetitive motion using hand tools and mallets
Ability to visually inspect materials and align markings with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to differentiate colors as required for materials and processes
Exposure to industrial noise and dust
Fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment

Successful candidates typically demonstrate:
Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools or equipment
Experience working in a manufacturing, fabrication, machining, printing, or packaging environment
Ability to measure accurately and work with precision
Attention to quality and detail in a production setting
A willingness to learn specialized die-making skills through training
Ability to work independently while also supporting team production goals
Even if you don't have direct die-making experience, candidates with related manufacturing or mechanical experience are encouraged to apply.
