The City of Pekin is currently accepting applications for a Deputy Building Official in the Inspections Department. This position is responsible for the interpretation, application and enforcement of building, planning and zoning codes and regulations. This position will also oversee the inspections of new construction, renovations, demolitions, and existing structures for compliance with all applicable regulations and codes.

The normally scheduled hours for this position will be Monday through Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM but is subject to change depending on departmental needs. This is a non-union position that will report to the Building and Development Director.
