People Operations Coordinator (HR)
Woodard Cleaning and Restoration
7d
St. Louis, None, US

Job Type
Full-time
Job Description

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

At Woodard, we call HR "People Operations" because we're the team employees come to when they actually need help - not just a policy link. We keep things organized, accurate, and running the way they should.

We also laugh a lot, don't take ourselves too seriously, and expect everyone to pull their weight.

This role is hands-on and execution-focused. The work is structured, detail-driven, and consistent-so someone who takes pride in getting things right and keeping things on track will do well here.

If you prefer a super polished, ultra-corporate environment, this may not be the right environment for you. But if you're the kind of person who can be friendly and direct, helpful with a little edge, and knows when to flip the switch to serious - we want to talk to you.

What You'll Do

  • Answer employee questions about policies, systems, and day-to-day processes
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding so transitions run smoothly
  • Keep employee records clean, accurate, and up to date
  • Review time entries and support payroll accuracy
  • Help manage workers' comp claims and return-to-work processes

You'll Succeed if You Are

  • Adaptable and responsive – you can shift priorities and handle interruptions without losing track of what matters
  • Consistently organized – you rely on systems, not memory or motivation
  • Approachable and confident – people feel comfortable coming to you, even when the conversation isn't an easy one
  • Able to take feedback and communicate directly – you don't take things personally and can be real with your team
  • Detail-obsessed – you catch things others miss
  • Steady and focused – you don't get easily distracted or pulled off track
  • Comfortable with routine – you value consistency and doing things correctly every time
  • Self-starter - you take initiative and don't wait to be told what to do

Why Work at Woodard?

  • A small team where everyone owns their work and steps in when things get busy
  • A role where details matter and your work actually impacts employees
  • The chance to improve processes instead of just following them
  • Exposure to payroll, compliance, and process improvement - not just one piece of HR
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Coverage

If you're the one who catches what others miss, stays on top of the details without being reminded, and can balance doing things right with being real - we should talk.
