Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Assembly position is responsible for assembling finished product according to customer specification sheet and company policies. Support the goals of the manufacturing departments by providing a diverse array of interrelated responsibilities.

FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION

  • Preparing, measuring and cutting fabric for air supported structure welding
  • Ability to accurately apply instructions, measurements and read dimensions from design drawings
  • Safely operate various radio frequency welding equipment and other industrial equipment required for the manufacturing of fabric covers and other fabric products
  • Work efficiently with management and within a team environment to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work well with a partner or team when required
  • Ability to travel off-site to assist with the service and installation of air-supported structures
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts including weekends and overtime when required
  • Checks drawings to determine assembly and any special options.
  • Maintain hand tools, equipment, inventory and any necessary supplies.
  • Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts, and sub- assemblies, per customer order.
  • From experience, resolves assembly problems and reports other problems to supervisor for assistance.
  • Maintains clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.
  • Assist team leads with daily tasks
  • Keep work area clean
  • Performs other assignments or tasks as required by the department and company
  • Must pick up any parts on the floor to avoid safety hazards.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must have a can do, positive attitude and the ability to thrive working in a fast paced team environment.

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Graduate of technical school

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to read tape measure accurately
  • Ability to use hand tools
  • Ability to operate assembly equipment
  • Basic math and vocabulary skills
  • Prior job site or factory experience in construction or assembly functions a plus
  • Reliable transportation
