Job Summary:
The Continuous Improvement Coordinator at our tooling facility, formerly Windsor Mold Group is responsible for supporting organizational quality performance through accurate KPI reporting, trend analysis, mold quality reviews, oversight of the CI/NC (EPICS) program, and control of quality documentation. This role ensures data-driven decision making, high standards of workmanship, and continuous improvement across all departments. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaboratively influence process improvements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) using Excel, Power BI, and other analytical tools.
- Analyze KPI data for quality performance trends, Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), and operational risks.
- Validate data accuracy and investigate anomalies to ensure integrity of reported metrics.
- Prepare and distribute timely reports for leadership, supporting data-driven decision making.
- Conduct physical inspections of molds prior to customer shipment or internal tryouts.
- Review accompanying documentation-including forms, designs, and specifications-focusing on detailed quality-related elements.
- Ensure all required checkpoints have been completed and that molds meet internal and customer expectations.
- Document findings and coordinate corrective action with responsible teams.
- Serve as chair for the EPICS Continuous Improvement (CI) and Non-Conformance (NC) program.
- Evaluate each EPIC entry, determine required investigation, and assign it to the appropriate department, champion, and priority level.
- Facilitate regular departmental EPIC review meetings to track progress and drive timely resolution.
- Analyze EPIC data to identify systemic issues, recurring trends, and improvement opportunities.
- Maintain EPICS workflow and documentation within SharePoint/Teams.
- Synthesize data from KPIs, COPQ, and EPICS to identify patterns and emerging risks.
- Prepare summary reports and insights for leadership, highlighting opportunities for prevention and improvement.
- Support cross-functional teams by translating data into actionable recommendations.
- Maintain control of quality documentation and records, ensuring procedures, work instructions, forms, and audit-related documents are current, approved, accessible, and compliant with ISO requirements.
- Support internal and external ISO audits by preparing documentation, participating in audit activities, responding to findings, and helping ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
Job Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Quality, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar or relevant role.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and data reporting tools.
- Knowledge of quality systems, CI methodologies, and non-conformance processes.
- Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and digital workflow systems is an asset.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, mold design, or tooling is preferred.
- Experience in plastic injection mold production is an asset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and documentation abilities.
