We is seeking an experienced Quality Technician. The Quality Technician is responsible for inspecting and verifying the quality of parts, assemblies, and finished products to ensure they meet Precision Instruments' specifications and standards. This hands-on role is critical to supporting daily production operations and maintaining quality assurance throughout the manufacturing process. The role reports to the Quality Manager.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect incoming parts, in-process assemblies, and finished goods using precision measurement tools and gages.
  • Record inspection results accurately using standardized forms and digital systems.
  • Interpret mechanical drawings and specifications to determine inspection criteria.
  • Access and utilize job travelers, bills of material, inspection sheets, and technical drawings through internal computer systems.
  • Follow detailed procedures, checklists, and instructions to complete inspections and quality checks.
  • Use hand and power tools to prepare parts or samples for inspection.
  • Communicate and collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Maintain an organized and safe work environment in compliance with company procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 3 years' experience with measurement tools including
    • calipers
    • micrometers
    • dial indicators
    • hardness testers
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical/technical drawings.
  • Basic computer literacy: ability to navigate systems, print documents, and scan records.
