Fleet Maintenance Technician

A well-established construction contractor is looking for a hands-on mechanic and shop helper who takes pride in keeping vehicles and equipment running right.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (overtime available)

What You'll Be Doing

• Diagnose and repair fleet vehicles, light trucks, and jobsite equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and downtime
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Manage and track parts, tools, and shop inventory
• Support warehouse organization and material handling as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop and yard
• Keep accurate service logs and maintenance records

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of hands-on automotive or fleet mechanic experience
• Strong ability to diagnose issues-not just swap parts
• Experience with trucks, trailers, or light equipment preferred
• Comfortable balancing mechanical work + shop/warehouse responsibilities
• Valid driver's license with clean record
• Able to lift 75-100 lbs and work in a shop/yard environment

Bonus Points For

• Fleet maintenance experience
• ASE certification or formal training
• DOT compliance knowledge
• Forklift experience or certification
• Inventory or parts management experience
