Job Description

Job Summary: Assist in the daily operation and administration of network and server operating system environments.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Degree in computer science or equivalent
  • 5 years work related experience. Experience in a manufacturing Environment is considered an asset.
  • Good knowledge in computer networking

  • Experience with security camera devices, hardware and software
  • Ability to work in a team environment and be both a team player and team leader
  • Awareness of Quality, H&S & Environmental policies – IATF16949 & ISO14001

Essential Functions:

  • Abide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee Handbook
  • Team and plant first prioritization with full support to peers and production staff.
  • Installing, configuring, troubleshooting and administering servers, PCs, printers, software
  • Provide user support and training
  • Maintain backup and recovery policies and procedures
  • Maintain communications, including LAN, WAN and internet
  • Maintain e-mail access / fax connections
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software problems
  • Assist with contingency plans
  • Bill 198 support and compliance
  • Maintain license & warranty information (asset management)
  • Assist with Hardware, Software Procurement
  • Maintain and administer Phone and security System
  • IT support and administer CMS ERP System with ability to turn on/off production batches.
  • Other tasks relevant to IT based on supervisor request and company needs
  • Compliance with applicable laws
  • Work with PLC networks and Controls Engineer for system optimization
  • AI support for new projects in AI and advanced manufacturing team
  • Monitor production control visualization systems, such as production current status
  • Onlocation software support and kiosk maintenance
  • Software pushes – windows and anti-virus updates.
  • Cell Phone and PC replacements

Work Environment:

  • Office environment and plant floor (PPE required)
  • Constant communication with employees, peers, and management
  • Flexible hours as required
  • Scissor lift and fall arrest training

Physical Demands:

  • Desk work
  • Overtime as required

Health and Safety:

  • Must work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company and plant rules, policies and procedures
  • Must use or wear Personal Protective Equipment and certain clothing as required by the Company
