Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced CDL Class A Driver to support our excavation and site development operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting equipment, materials, and aggregates to and from job sites while assisting with general labor tasks as needed.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate CDL Class A vehicles (dump trucks, lowboys, tandems, etc.) safely and efficiently
  • Transport heavy equipment (excavators, skid steers, dozers) to job sites
  • Load and unload materials such as dirt, gravel, sand, and debris
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety policies
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork
  • Assist with excavation/site work when not driving (grading, trenching support, cleanup, etc.)
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, foremen, and crew members

Requirements:

  • Valid CDL Class A license (required)
  • Clean driving record
  • Minimum [X] years of experience operating CDL vehicles (construction/excavation preferred)
  • Experience hauling heavy equipment (preferred)
  • Ability to operate or willingness to learn excavation equipment
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and DOT regulations
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in outdoor conditions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in excavation, grading, or underground utilities
  • Knowledge of load securement for heavy equipment
  • OSHA certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Mechanical knowledge of trucks and equipment
