Production Assembly Associate
Department: Production
Manager: Team Leads & Plant Manager
Responsible for: No direct reports
Pay Status: FT Hourly
Compensation: Hourly & Incentives; $15- $18
Job Summary:
Seaway Manufacturing is currently seeking candidates to assist in the fabrication, assembly and inspection of replacement windows, doors and patio rooms. The ideal candidate must have a keen attention to detail, be quality oriented, flexible, and able to work independently. 1st shift position. Company offers excellent benefits and competitive wages.
Key Production Responsibilities:
- Fabricate window, door and sunrooms using raw material, component parts and complete final assembly
- Will inspect glass for any defects
- Clean glass when complete.
- Efficiency and quality critical to position.
- Follow detailed instructions to meet quality and time deadlines
- Identify any defective items and handle them according to established procedures.
- Ability to use reason to solve problems as they arise.
- Maintain tidy work area
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Must have good math skills.
- Must have excellent tape measure skills.
- Must be able to use small hand tools, specifically a label scraper, nippers, chop saw, screw gun and drill.
- Must be able to read and interpret written work orders
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to frequently lift up to 50lbs.
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 75lbs.
- Must be able to stand 100% of time
- Frequently push/pull/reach/bend up to 75lbs.
