Job Description

We're Hiring: BSA Officer

Location: On-site in Santa Fe, NM

Status: Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Starting Pay: $24.00/hour

Guadalupe Credit Union is looking for a BSA Officer to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and continuous monitoring of the credit union's BSA/AML/OFAC compliance program, ensuring full compliance with applicable laws and regulations. You will support risk mitigation by identifying suspicious activity, maintaining robust compliance systems, and providing regular reporting on program status and emerging risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and monitor the BSA/AML/OFAC program, including suspicious activity detection and regulatory reporting.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of required filings, documentation, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Support training, communication, and collaboration efforts to ensure organization-wide understanding and adherence to compliance requirements.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and compliance trends, providing recommendations on emerging risks and program enhancements.
  •  Establish and maintain an effective CDD/EDD risk rating and monitoring program, including initial and ongoing assessments.

Requirements:

Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a financial institution or related industry required; experience in BSA/AML, fraud detection, compliance, risk management, or account investigations strongly preferred.

Education: (1) High School Diploma or equivalent. (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school, or completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to hear and speak. The role involves prolonged periods of sitting, as well as standing and walking, with occasional bending, kneeling, reaching, and crouching. Filing and lifting of items up to 20 pounds may be required on an occasional basis.
