Job Description

Flagler Cooperative Association is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant to join our in-office team in Flagler, CO. With a pay range of $15.50 – $16.00 per hour, plus the opportunity for annual bonuses and enrollment in our Coop Retirement program, this role offers more than just a paycheck-it's a chance to be a valued part of a respected local organization.

 

This part-time position offers flexible scheduling for 20 – 25 hours per week. Choose the schedule that works best for you-whether it's five mornings a week, three full days, or another arrangement. You'll also have the opportunity for extra hours during Saturday mornings, the busy summer harvest season, or when stepping in to cover for other team members.

As a part-time Administrative Assistant, you will start your day managing office communications, fielding phone calls, emails, and mail, and ensuring every customer and vendor receives timely, professional support. You will collaborate closely with your Office Assistant teammate and work hand-in-hand with the Finance Manager to keep records accurate and up-to-date. Throughout your day, you will reconcile cash receipts, process invoices, and handle deposits, supporting key departments like fuel, feed, and grain. You will help feedmill customers with orders and invoices, assist delivery drivers, and ensure accurate and ready paperwork for incoming and outgoing grain shipments. Your daily routine will include multitasking, working with interruptions, and upholding our high standards of customer service and professionalism, all while contributing to a friendly, positive workplace.

 

Administrative Assistant Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent OR one to three months of related experience/training OR equivalent education/experience Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Comfortable presenting information one-on-one or in small groups
  • Proficiency in basic math, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and interpreting bar graphs
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and interruptions throughout the day
