Job Title: Armed Security Guard (School)
Location: Manhattan, NY 10002
Pay Rate: $32-34/hour
Schedule: Full time & Part Time Available 7:15am to 5:45pm with availability to take 2-4 days weekly for 16 to 40 hours a week. Permanent role.

Position Overview:
Iron Rock Security is seeking experienced, professional Armed Security Guards to support schools & religious institutions Manhattan. This role is ideal for law enforcement professionals looking for work, with opportunities to transition into a management role based on performance, reliability, and operational needs.

Guards will be responsible for maintaining a visible, reassuring presence while ensuring the safety of students/congregants, staff, and visitors during school/services, events, and daily operations.

Responsibilities:

• Provide armed security coverage at designated educational & religious institutions

• Maintain a strong, professional presence and situational awareness

• Control access points and monitor entry/exit activity

• Respond quickly and appropriately to incidents or emergencies

• Coordinate with site leadership and local law enforcement when needed

• Complete incident reports and daily activity logs

• Follow all company, client, and local regulations regarding armed security

Requirements:

• Active or prior law enforcement experience (required)

• Valid unrestricted concealed carry permit (required)

• NYS Armed Guard license and current certifications (or ability to obtain immediately)

• Excellent judgment, communication, and de-escalation skills

• Professional demeanor and reliability

• Ability to handle security rounds and checkpoints
