At SGH, we take pride in delivering high-quality healthcare in a warm, hometown environment. We're currently seeking a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dedicated Behavioral Health team.

Position: LMSW / LCSW

Work Location: Simpson General Hospital, Mendenhall, MS 39114
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00am - 4:30pm
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports To: RN Supervisor and Director of Nursing
Department: Senior Care – Geri-Psych Unit

What You'll Do:

As a Social Worker at SGH, you'll play a vital role in supporting patients through:

• Conducting bio-psychosocial assessments and developing treatment plans
• Leading group therapy and psycho-educational sessions
• Providing individual and family counseling
• Managing admissions, discharges, and case management
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care
• Supporting program development and evaluation

What We're Looking For:

• Education: Master's Degree in Social Work
• Licensure: Active LMSW or LCSW license in Mississippi (Required)
• Experience: 2+ years in acute healthcare or mental health settings (Preferred)
• Certifications: Current CPR/BLS (Required)
• Strong leadership, communication, and multitasking skills
• Commitment to ethical practice and patient confidentiality

Physical Requirements:

This role requires mobility, physical stamina, and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs. You'll need to be comfortable standing, walking, bending, and communicating clearly throughout the day.
