Floating Lead Teachers – Before & After School Program
Location: Colorado Springs (Districts 2, 3, and 11)
About the Opportunity
Leading Edge Before and After School is continuing to grow in Colorado Springs, and we are building a strong pipeline of qualified Lead Teachers for future opportunities.
At this time, all regularly scheduled roles are filled. However, we are seeking experienced and passionate educators who are interested in joining our team as positions become available and are willing to support multiple sites.
This is an ongoing posting designed to identify and connect with high-quality candidates who are interested in future opportunities, supporting sites as enrollment increases, staff transitions occur, or additional coverage is needed.
Position Overview
Lead Teachers provide support across multiple program sites, stepping in to maintain consistency, quality, and compliance when coverage is needed. While hours are not guaranteed, this role offers a valuable opportunity to gain experience, build relationships within the organization, and be considered for future permanent placements.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and support a student-focused Leading Edge curriculum
Ensure compliance with program policies and state licensing requirements
Maintain accurate documentation and administrative records
Build positive relationships with students, staff, and school partners
Support team collaboration and site operations
Maintain appropriate staff-to-student ratios
Uphold professionalism, positivity, and confidentiality
Perform additional duties as needed to support program success
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 455 hours of verifiable experience working with school-aged children
Ability to pass all state-required background checks
Availability for split shifts (before and after school)
Compensation
$18–$22/hour, based on experience, education, and role placement
Split shift schedules provide flexibility throughout the day
