Job Description

EHDD is seeking a motivated Accounting Assistant to join our team and support our San Francisco and Seattle offices. In this role, you will help prepare and maintain accurate financial data across a variety of accounting functions - gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative, supportive environment. We're looking for someone who is organized, eager to learn, and has a foundational understanding of accounting principles. Strong attention to detail and a willingness to grow with the team are what matter most.

This position is based at our San Francisco headquarters.

Responsibilities:

  • Obtain proper approvals and process vendor invoices
  • Coordinate and resolve discrepancies with vendors, including engineering consultants and other suppliers.
  • Audit and process employee expense reports accurately and on schedule.
  • Prepare and accurately process weekly payment runs.
  • Manage credit card receipts and entries.
  • Continuous maintenance and organization of accounting records.
  • Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing and weekly timesheet management.
  • Support the preparation of monthly management reporting.
  • Support general office administrative functions as needed.

 

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in a business or professional services environment.
  • Solid understanding of general accounting principles and demonstrated experience with accounting basics.
  • Strong numerical aptitude with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry is a plus.
  • Experience with Deltek software is a plus; two or more years preferred.
  • Experience with light coding or automation tools is a plus.

The base salary is one component of EHDD's competitive compensation package for employees. We take into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity in determining exact salary offered. The posted salary range represents EHDD's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
