What You'll Do:

 

As the Industrial Power Amplifier Tester, you will be responsible for performing functional and performance testing on electronics to ensure they meet quality and specification standards. You will work closely with engineering and production teams to identify defects, troubleshoot issues down to the component level, and verify key performance metrics while following established test procedures, safety guidelines, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.

 

Your Accountabilities in the Role:

 

  • Performs functional and performance testing on power amplifiers ensuring products meet company and customer standards.
  • Identifies defects and communicates with Engineering and Production to ensure quality issues are addressed.
  • Performs final inspection and quality verification prior to shipment with the goal of producing high quality products for our customers.
  • Operates testing equipment, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, power meters, load banks, and hand tools.
  • Ensure safety procedures and quality standards are maintained.
  • Verifies amplifier output power, gain, distortion, frequency response, and stability to ensure proper performance.
  • Troubleshoots test failures down to board and component levels to resolve product malfunction.
  • Documents and logs test results using databases and checklists to ensure accurate recordkeeping.
  • Assists with continuous improvement of testing methods and procedures.
  • Supports the building or final assembly of amplifiers and cabinets as needed.

 

 

 

 

Position Requirements:

 

  • Education: BS degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or technical fields like physics.
  • Experience: 1+ year of experience in electronics testing, repair, or manufacturing.
  • Certifications: NA
  • Functional Skills: Proven ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and testing procedures; strong attention to detail; ability to follow step-by-step procedures and handling sensitive electronic components safely; strong understanding of basic electronics, voltage, currents, and wiring; high ability problem-solve and develop solutions that work; works committedly to solve problems and resolve situations.
  • Technology Skills: Advanced aptitude with computers, electronics, and electronic components including Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Signal Generators, Power Meters, and Load Banks.
  • Communication Skills: Advanced verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate technical matters to all levels within and outside of the organization.
  • Leadership/ Behaviors: Strong focus on testing and troubleshooting; able to work independently and within teams; ability to think, listen, reflect and create solutions; calm personality and collaborative.
  • Culture Match: Able to do what is right for the customers, team members, and company.

Pay/Salary: Pay is commensurate with proven expertise.

Reports To: Production Supervisor

 

Core Hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

 

Typical Work Week: M-F; 40 hours a week
