ARMI provides wrap-around commercialization services to companies seeking to bring life-saving regenerative technologies to patients, as well as to innovators seeking to commercialize enabling technologies that will grow the industry's impact.

 

The Impact That You Will Make

ARMI | BioFabUSA, an organization with nearly 200 members, is seeking a highly motivated intern to support its procurement operations team. ARMI is in the process of implementing improved purchasing and materials management processes to support its Process Development and Deep Tissue Characterization teams. This role provides exposure to the full procurement lifecycle across several early development projects and the opportunity to develop valuable skills in procurement, purchasing, inventory management, and procedure-development.

 

Your Role

  • Support materials, equipment and services purchasing processes, including quoting, issuing purchase requisitions and purchase order generation, tracking and closeout.
  • Support consumables material purchasing within a cloud-based purchasing system
  • Assist with sourcing activities, including supplier research and quote comparisons.
  • Participate in the implementation and support of a Min/Max kanban inventory management system.
  • Collaborate with receiving and finance teams to resolve any material, documentation or invoice discrepancies.
  • Assist with documenting and updating procurement related SOPs.
  • Support defined receiving and shipping processes including material labelling and storage.
  • Other activities as needed to support the operations team.
  • Escort visitors per established operation procedures as needed.

 

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative team environment
  • High energy, commitment, initiative, and perseverance
  • High school degree
  • Strong proficiency using Microsoft office applications, particularly Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Experience with technical writing preferred
  • Experience or coursework in Supply Chain preferred
  • Can work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work on feet for at least 6 hours and lift 50 lbs, 25 lbs overhead, as needed

 

Hours Expected: 30 - 39 per week
