We are seeking a reliable and experienced Excavating Laborer / Equipment Operator to join our team. This role involves utility installation, site development, and operation of various heavy equipment. The ideal candidate is hardworking, safety-focused, and experienced in underground utility work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install sanitary sewer systems (4" and larger), including:
• Setting manholes
• Pouring flow lines
• Performing emergency repairs
• Testing lines
• Install storm systems (4" and larger), including:
• Manholes
• Inlets and end walls
• Install waterlines (ductile iron and C-900), including:
• Valves, hydrants, meter vaults, and fittings
• Hydrostatic testing and line flushing
• Install electrical conduit as required
• Perform site restoration, including seeding and strawing
• Complete asphalt and concrete restoration work
• Operate hand tools and small equipment (jackhammers, tampers, etc.)
• Maintain clean and organized job sites and shop areas
• Clean and maintain equipment and vehicles
• Transport materials and pick up supplies as needed to support job efficiency

Equipment Operation Requirements:

• Track excavators (mini up to Komatsu 300)
• Case 580 backhoe
• Dozer (fine grading experience preferred)

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in site development and utility installation (water, gas, storm, sanitary)
• Experience with manholes, catch basins, and underground systems
• Valid driver's license required (Class A CDL preferred)
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team environment
