El Dorado Kitchen is Seeking a Full-Time Floor Manager. Join Our Award-Winning Hospitality Team in Beautiful Sonoma!

Candidates must have Saturday, Sunday, and Monday AM/PM availability as well as for holidays. Flexibility preferred.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO AS A Floor Manager?

As part of our management staff, you'll be at the heart of our hospitality mission:

  • Courteously greet, escort, and thank guests upon departure, setting the tone for exceptional experiences
  • Take food and beverage orders with expertise and enthusiasm
  • Retrieve and serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages and food orders according to our high service standards
  • Process payments efficiently while maintaining proper cash handling procedures and security protocols
  • Ensure the security and confidentiality of all guest information
  • Create excellent guest experiences that ensure satisfaction and build lasting memories
  • Assist in maintaining our beautiful restaurant space and equipment
  • Support management in fostering our positive, cohesive team culture through mentorship and leadership

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

We're looking for someone who can:

  • Stay organized and think clearly while analyzing and resolving challenges with sound judgment
  • Work collaboratively with vendors and back-of-house team members in our fast-paced environment
  • Perform duties with efficiency and meticulous attention to detail

  • Communicate clearly and legibly in all interactions
  • Handle basic mathematical calculations accurately
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while supporting team goals

KNOWLEDGE AREAS:

  • Team Development: Training team members on service excellence and our hospitality standards
  • Technology Systems: POS and reservation systems (we use TOAST and OpenTable)
  • Restaurant Operations: Complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, proper table set-up, and dress code
  • Beverage Expertise: Intermediate knowledge to speak confidently about our wines by the glass, signature EDK cocktails, and beer selections
  • Culinary Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of all menu items, including prices, preparation methods, ingredients, and quality standards for taste, appearance, texture, temperature, portion size, garnish, and presentation
  • Legal Compliance: Complete knowledge of state liquor regulations, particularly those regarding service to minors and intoxicated persons
  • Equipment Management: Proper maintenance and operation of all restaurant equipment
  • Standards Excellence: Complete knowledge of and compliance with all company and departmental service standards and policies

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two years of experience as a casual upscale dining Server or equivalent
  • One year of supervisory experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English with guests, management, and co-workers
  • Food Handler Certification

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma
  • Computer training on POS systems
  • Prior guest relations training
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office
