Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking for a full time, Monday-Friday, 8:00-4:30 medical office management position managing the patient scheduling and insurance verification department in Boca Raton. The ideal candidate will have prior management experience with medical front office, call center and insurance verification. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day departmental operations including scheduling for multiple providers, insurance verifications and updates, communication of financial responsibility to patients, working closely with practice locations staff and managers, workflow process improvements and analytical reporting.

 

Requirements:

  • Three (3) years' work-related in insurance verification, front office, claims, billing, or call center, management
  • Experience using Availity and Insurance Payor websites to obtain insurance benefits
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong Analytical Skills
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge in Microsoft Office specifically Excel
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
  • Ability to think independently, multi-task and motivate and lead a team of 20+ staff.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assure appropriate staffing to meet productivity goals
  • Training and coaching staff
  • Analyzing current workflows to assure utmost efficiencies
  • Managing staff productivity, quality and effectiveness
  • Assuring staff are following organizational policies and procedures
  • Evaluate departmental performance and implement process improvements when needed
  • Analytical reporting – Call center statistics, Insurance verifications
  • Work closely with practice managers/staff to assure we are providing the best service possible

 

Physical Demands:

Coordination, manual, and physical dexterity sufficient to properly and adequately use various items of office equipment as required of the position or directed by the Manager. The position may involve sitting, standing, bending, and stooping. The incumbent must also be capable of lifting up to 10 pounds.
