King Louis Express ("KLE") is currently searching for a Supervisor for its Northern California/Bay Area market (Cannabis Industry). This position is responsible for managing a team of field-based drivers. This position will act as the primary link between the field drivers and the logistics office, ensuring that all routes are optimized and that deliveries remain on schedule. This role requires a leader who can troubleshoot driver issues quickly in the company's best interests, pulling from experience and steps in when/if necessary to complete deliveries.
FLSA Classification: Salaried-Exempt
Annual Salary Range: $72,000.00 - $82,000.00
Must be able to work a flexible schedule (morning/evening/weekends/holidays) as needed in best support of operations. This is a full-time SF HUB based position, no HYBRID or Work from Home opportunity is currently available.
Key Responsibilities:
Route Monitoring & Optimization: Use GPS and fleet management tools to track driver progress in real-time, ensuring adherence to planned routes and schedules
Team Leadership: Provide direct supervision, coaching, and performance feedback to drivers
Issue Resolution: Address and resolve immediate driver concerns, such as vehicle breakdowns, traffic delays, or delivery discrepancies
Logistics Coordination: Provide frequent status updates to the logistics team regarding route completion, delays, and capacity
Hands-on Delivery: Act as a relief driver when needed, running routes personally during peak times, staff shortages, or for high-priority deliveries
Safety & Compliance: Enforce DOT regulations, hours of service (HOS) rules, and company safety protocols
Administrative Support: Maintain accurate records of delivery issues, delay issues, vehicle maintenance needs as well as other support as needed
Required Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years in transportation or logistics, preferably in a lead or supervisory capacity
Licensing: Valid driver's license. Must be able to meet Company insurability requirements and background check
Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent verbal communication, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Physical Ability: Must be able to lift and move heavy items up to 50 lbs as required for delivery tasks
Performance Metrics (KPIs):
On-Time Delivery Rate: Percentage of deliveries made within the scheduled window
Route Efficiency: Ability to reduce idle time and unnecessary mileage across the team
Driver Retention & Morale: Success in coaching and maintaining a reliable driver workforce
