Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and observing the physical, mental, and emotional status of admitted clients.
- Daily monitoring and reporting on all client rooms, kitchen, and common areas for program compliance, health, safety, and security.
- Reports progress on residence at every shift change.
- Transports clients to treatment program activities, D.S.S., medical and legal appointments, recreational opportunities and in emergencies.
- Works cooperatively with the Program Manager to meet the rehabilitation treatment needs of each client.
- Provides assistant to residents, this includes motivation, support and encouragement for client goals.
- Logs telephone, personal visits and significant event or information during your shift into the Residential logbook.
- Required to work a flexible work schedule to maintain required staffing.
- May be required to work in other buildings or ACCA locations as needed.
- May collect urine drugs screens and breathalyzer testing for Residential clients.
- Monitor medication administration and preform med counts each shift change.
- Prepares all paperwork related to routine and random urine and drug screens.
- Assumes responsibility for managing and reporting incidents.
- Attends all ACCA employee and Residence staff meetings as required.
- Make calls to local ambulance service, fire department, police, or CDPC, as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Program Manager.
Licenses, Certificates, or Registrations: Must have a valid NYS Driver's License and be considered an acceptable driver by ACCA's insurance company to drive agency vehicles. CPR and First Aid certified preferred.
Education Requirements: High school diploma or GED
