Role Overview:

The Director of Corporate & Strategic Partnerships is a new leadership role focused on building, growing, and stewarding long-term relationships that expand the Alliance's reach, influence, and impact.

This role is not a traditional fundraising position. It is designed for someone who is energized by connecting people, organizations, and ideas-translating shared interests into sustained partnerships that support the Alliance's mission and future direction.

The Director will lead the development of a comprehensive corporate partnership program, cultivate relationships with mission-aligned organizations and individuals, and identify new opportunities to support innovation and growth. This person will play a key role in positioning the Alliance as a trusted statewide partner and connector across sectors.

Reporting to the Chief Advocacy Officer, this role works in close partnership with Marketing & Communications and program leadership to ensure that outreach, engagement, and partnership efforts are aligned and strategic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Corporate & Strategic Partnership Development: Design, launch, and lead the Alliance's corporate and strategic partnership program. Build a pipeline of multi-year, mission-aligned partners and move beyond event-based sponsorships toward long-term, values-driven collaboration.
  • Relationship Building & Network Growth: Develop and steward relationships with corporate, philanthropic, and community partners. Actively engage new organizations in the Alliance's work and deepen existing partnerships to expand reach and impact.
  • Opportunity Development & Strategic Alignment: Identify opportunities to align partner interests with the Alliance's priorities, including emerging initiatives, field-building efforts, and cross-sector collaborations. Help translate relationships into meaningful, mission-aligned work.
  • Support for Innovation & Growth: Partner with internal teams to identify funding and partnership opportunities that support new and innovative initiatives. Secure resources that enable the Alliance to expand its programs and statewide footprint.
  • Revenue Diversification: Contribute to efforts to diversify and strengthen the Alliance's funding base through corporate support, partnerships, and other non-traditional revenue streams.
  • Data, Systems & Reporting: Maintain strong records of partner engagement and pipeline activity. Use CRM tools and data to guide strategy, monitor progress, and inform leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, public administration, or related field; Master's preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in fundraising, corporate partnerships, or development leadership-preferably in a mission-driven or advocacy setting.
  • Demonstrated success in building and leading partnership programs, securing major gifts, and diversifying revenue.
  • Exceptional relationship-building, storytelling, and communication skills.
  • Experience collaborating across teams and with diverse stakeholders.
  • Comfort with data, CRM tools, and performance metrics.
  • Passion for child welfare and children's behavioral health; knowledge of Ohio's philanthropic and nonprofit landscape is a plus.
  • A commitment to advancing equity
