Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Full Time | Evening and Night Shift
Part Time | Evening Shift

Pay between $22-$28/hour
(based on experience and shift differential)

St. Margaret's Center, an affiliate of the Center for Disability Services, is a 94-bed pediatric and young adult skilled nursing facility located in Albany, NY. Founded in 1883, we provide specialized long-term care for medically fragile infants, children, and young adults on a single dedicated campus.

Our team delivers advanced 24-hour medical care in a nurturing, home-like environment where residents can experience a full childhood - including school, activities, family time, and friendships.


Requirements for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) -

  • Current and valid New York State CNA certification
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to safely lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

What you'll do as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) -

  • Provide high-quality care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) in accordance with individualized care plans
  • Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, and toileting while maintaining dignity and privacy
  • Reposition and transfer residents safely, including turning and repositioning at least every two hours
  • Monitor and report changes in residents' condition, including skin integrity, to the Charge Nurse promptly
  • Assist with feeding and hydration, following dietary guidelines and care plan interventions
  • Support residents with mobility, including range-of-motion exercises and use of assistive devices as directed by PT/OT
  • Conduct routine safety rounds to ensure resident well-being and comfort
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in accordance with infection control standards
