Salary: $77,487 annually + $5,000 sign-on bonus
Shift Differential: $2.50/hour for evenings, nights, and weekends
Schedule: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM, Alternating weekends

Since 1971, the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board has provided essential, community-based services across the Peninsula. We serve individuals living with mental health conditions, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders through a comprehensive continuum of care.
In this position, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals during behavioral health emergencies. Working alongside a staff psychiatrist, you'll assist with medication prescribing, administration, and monitoring. You'll conduct thorough nursing and medical assessments to determine appropriate care and interventions.
Key responsibilities include developing and reviewing individualized care plans, ensuring safe medication practices, and coordinating medical services such as referrals and appointments. You will also provide crisis intervention, supportive counseling for clients and families, and respond to emergency situations as needed.
