Job Description

PRIMARY DUTY:

This role supports the department by assisiting in the purchasing processes, coordinating with vendors, and work closely with the Purchasing Division to ensure compliance with municipal policies and procedures. Under broad supervision, maintains adequate supply of parts and equipment used for the efficient operation of the department. Performs a variety of administrative and procurement support functions for all divisions within the department.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• At least three (3) years' direct experience in automotive and equipment parts inventory, local government procurement, and/or water utility material inventory management experience highly preferred.

• Any combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.

 

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:

• Valid Class "C: Texas Drivers License with a good driving record

• ASE Parts Specialist Certification preferred (P1 or P2)
