Position Summary
The Director of Facilities is responsible for leading the facilities and maintenance function across the organization. This role oversees maintenance technicians, manages vendor relationships, and directs restaurant remodels and capital improvement projects from start to finish.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and develop a team of 4-6 Maintenance Technicians
- Oversee scheduling, workload distribution, and work quality
- Responsible for hiring, training, performance management, discipline, and terminations
- Ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance requests
Facilities & Maintenance Oversight
- Oversee maintenance department operations
- Conduct site inspections and audits
- Maintain equipment lifecycle tracking
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and safety standards
Vendor Management
- Manage vendor relationships and maintain vendor list
- Lead RFP processes and obtain competitive bids
- Dispatch vendors as needed
- Monitor vendor performance
Project Management
- Lead remodels from start to finish
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and agencies
- Review site plans and blueprints
- Manage budgets, timelines, and milestones
Requirements
- Experience managing maintenance teams or facilities operations
- Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance
- Experience with vendor management and RFPs
- Ability to read blueprints
- Valid Driver's License required
