IS THIS POSITION FOR YOU?
The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for safeguarding the financial health, stability, and long‑term sustainability of Resound Credit Union. This role oversees financial strategy, accounting operations, budgeting, asset/liability management (ALM), CECL modeling, investments, and risk management. The CFO partners closely with the President, Senior Management Team, and Board of Directors to guide the credit union's financial direction and ensure alignment with Resound's mission and strategic goals. The CFO ensures that the Credit Union's accounting practices are in compliance with generally accepted accounting practices (GAAP) and state and federal regulations.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Education
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field required. Graduate school is preferred. CPA or MBA preferred. Additional credit‑union‑specific financial certifications are a plus.
Experience
Minimum 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in financial management preferably within a credit union or regulated financial institution. Demonstrated experience with GAAP, ALM practices, budgeting, financial analysis, and regulatory reporting. Experience supervising accounting/finance teams and leading organizational financial strategy.
Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills. High level of proficiency in financial modeling, accounting systems, and data analysis tools. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and operate with accuracy and integrity. Ability to maintain positive and professional relationships with employees, management, vendors, and regulators.
PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires a professional appearance and manner. Must be detail oriented with the ability to perform work assignments accurately with a high level of accuracy. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail is required. Must have good organization and communication skills and work effectively with other departments and branches, function as a team player, and cooperate with co-workers, members, and business associates.
