Beds-N-Biscuits is a structured daycare, enrichment, and training facility focused on developing well-balanced dogs through real-world exposure, clear communication, and consistency.

We are not a "watch dogs play all day" facility. Our team is intentional, hands-on, and focused on helping dogs and their owners succeed long-term.

The Role

We are looking for a full-time Dog Trainer who is confident working with both dogs and people.

This role is a mix of:

• Hands-on training
• Working dogs in a daycare setting
• Communicating directly with clients
• Converting new leads and existing clients into training opportunities

If you prefer working only with dogs and not people, this is not the role for you.

What You'll Do

• Work dogs in real-world environments (daycare, structured play, walks)
• Train and reinforce behaviors like leash manners, impulse control, and engagement
• Communicate clearly with clients and explain training concepts
• Identify training opportunities within our existing client base
• Support group play by reinforcing safe, appropriate behavior
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a structured environment

Compensation

• $18–$22/hour base (based on experience)
• Tips (pooled + direct client tips)
• Commission on training services

Most trainers earn $45K–$70K+ annually depending on performance.

Who You Are

• Comfortable teaching and communicating with dog owners
• Observant and proactive in identifying behavior issues
• Consistent, patient, and clear in your handling
• Able to stay calm and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Interested in growing your skills, not just "working with dogs"

Requirements

• Prior dog handling and training experience
• Must be able to safely handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
