EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
- Preventive Care Delivery - Perform dental cleanings, periodontal therapy, fluoride treatments, and sealant placement.
- Clinical Assessment - Conduct oral health screenings, charting, and risk assessments in accordance with state practice guidelines.
- Patient Education - Provide instruction on oral hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention tailored to individual patient needs.
- Infection Control Compliance - Maintain strict adherence to OSHA, CDC, and clinic protocols.
- Electronic Health Records - Document all services accurately and promptly in the EHR system.
- Community Outreach Support - Participate in school‑based programs, mobile clinics, and community events as assigned.
- Team Collaboration - Coordinate care with dental providers and public health staff to ensure continuity and quality of services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current Registered Dental Hygienist license in the State of Utah or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Certification in local anesthesia preferred.
- CPR/BLS certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with commitment to patient‑centered care.
- Demonstrated interest in public health and serving diverse populations.
- Utah Driver's License is required.
