As a Certified Medication Aide, you will play an important role in supporting residents by ensuring medications are administered safely and accurately, while also providing compassionate daily support in a home-like environment.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist with self-administration of medications for residents who have been approved to self-administer with supervision
  • Accurately document all medications, refusals, and observations in MAR/eMAR systems
  • Observe residents for changes in condition, side effects, or concerns and report promptly to nursing staff
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and security of medications
  • Perform routine vital signs as required and report abnormalities
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary care team members
  • Support a safe, clean, and respectful environment for all residents

Position Qualifications:

  • Certified Medication Aide (CMA) or NYS-approved medication assistance credential
  • Completion of NYS-approved Assisted Living/Memory Care medication assistance training
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in assisted living, long-term care, or healthcare setting preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication administration and documentation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to resident care
  • Reliable, organized, and team-focused mindset
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
