Position Summary: The Clinical Lead plays a vital leadership role in overseeing the delivery of high-quality mental health services to children, youth, and families. The supervisor provides clinical oversight, including fulfilling supervisory requirements for Other Licensed Practitioners (OLPs - Social Workers) and Community-Based Providers (CBPs), and offering psychoeducation on therapeutic interventions.

 

This role includes reviewing and approving clinical documentation, supervising staff, and providing direct clinical services as needed. The Clinical Supervisor ensures timely crisis intervention in alignment with state and federal regulations and maintains consistent communication with families, providers, and external stakeholders such as health home care managers and DSS representatives.

 

Responsibilities:
 
  • Supervise and support direct reports and contribute to the professional development of team members.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving and independent critical thinking skills, with consistent access to supervisory support.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of treatment plans, service notes, and supervision notes in the electronic health record.
  • Monitor ongoing changes to program guidance and support the information being distributed.
  • Lead monthly clinical supervision for bachelor-level providers, focusing on case discussion and staff skill-building.
  • Represent CFTSS in agency initiatives.
  • Review and approve staff documentation in EHR.
  • Responsible for clinical services across CFTSS and contribute to the strategic planning and expansion of services.
  • Maintain effective communication with collateral sources, including schools, outpatient mental health providers, and county DSS.
  • Responsible for conducting mental health evaluations and making appropriate diagnoses when necessary.
  • Collaboratively develop treatment plans with clients and their families. Assign community-based services that meet medical necessity based on assessments and diagnoses.
  • Provide individual and family mental health counseling in community or home settings.
  • Conduct regular case reviews with families and collaborative service providers. Perform risk assessments and develop safety plans.

 

Requirements

Education:
  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field required.
  • LCSW required
Experience:
  • Driver's License and ability to maintain insurance throughout employment required
