Here are some of the "ingredients" that go into our recipe for job success:
For Baker Helper:
- Assist with baking cookies, pies, brownies, breads, etc.
- Set up, operate and disassemble various bakery equipment;
Other duties include:
- Demonstrate knowledge and comply with Big Island Candies' Safety, Quality, and Reliability Procedures;
- Uphold Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety standards;
- Work safely to prevent injury to self and others, and prevent damage to products, equipment and property;
- Maintain cleanliness within the work area;
- Produce exquisite confectionary products;
- Perform food-safety and quality-control checks;
- Must be able to work independently or with a team; able to adapt quickly to changing priorities;
- Ability to communicate and share information with peers and internal customers;
- Honest, hardworking and caring;
- Responsible, energetic and detail-oriented;
- Must be able to read, write and speak English;
- Must have basic math skills;
- Must be able to follow instructions;
- Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift;
- Must be able to lift and carry 30 lbs.;
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Work Hours:
Immediate Openings: Full-Time Day Shift, Monday thru Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Full-time Night Shift will be available starting late August: 2:30 pm -11:00 pm
Weekends and overtime may be required during peak/seasonal periods and depending on operational needs.
