JOB SUMMARY: The Elementary Student Support position is a new position that will support the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral success of students through the implementation of a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). This position provides leadership and direct services related to Tier 1 and Tier 2, behavioral interventions, collaborates with staff and families to improve student outcomes, and responds proactively to behavioral concerns to maintain a safe and productive learning environment.

The specialist works closely with classroom teachers, special education staff, school counselors, administrators, and families to develop, implement, monitor, and adjust behavioral supports based on student data. Responsibilities include behavior intervention planning, data collection and analysis, student skill instruction, crisis response, restorative practices, and direct support for students demonstrating behavioral challenges.

REPORTS TO: Elementary (PS-3) Building Principal and Superintendent

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in PK-3 Elementary Education or related teaching field
• Experience in student services, student affairs, or related roles is often preferred or even required.
• Master's Degree (Optional but Preferred)
