Position Summary
The Catering Captain is responsible for overseeing on-site catering events, ensuring smooth execution, excellent customer service, and proper coordination between staff and clients. This role acts as the leader during events, maintaining high standards in service, presentation, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise catering staff during events (servers, bartenders, setup crew)
Coordinate event setup, execution, and breakdown according to client specifications
Serve as the main point of contact for clients during events
Ensure food and beverage service meets quality and presentation standards
Manage event timelines and ensure everything runs on schedule
Assign roles and delegate tasks to team members effectively
Handle guest requests and resolve any issues quickly and professionally
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards at all times
Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery
Complete post-event reports and provide feedback to management
