Job Description
Description We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our team in Clearwater, Florida. This contract-to-permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization within the printing and publishing industry. The ideal candidate will excel in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and human resources tasks while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and smooth operations across departments.
Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices, purchase orders, and payments promptly and ensure all transactions are accurate.
- Manage vendor relationships by addressing billing issues and resolving discrepancies effectively.
- Reconcile accounts and assist with month-end financial closing processes.
- Generate and distribute customer invoices while maintaining accurate payment tracking.
- Post incoming payments to the general ledger and prepare AR aging reports for review.
- Support new employee onboarding processes, benefits administration, and employee record maintenance.
- Assist with payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Maintain compliance with labor laws and internal policies to uphold organizational standards.
- Contribute to creating a positive workplace culture by fostering collaboration and efficiency.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and assist with financial planning initiatives. Requirements - Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, and HR responsibilities.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and human resources processes.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and HR/payroll software such as Paychex.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with data entry, invoice processing, and payroll administration.
