The **Armed Security Officer** position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. If you have experience in security, law enforcement or military you are a great fit for this role. **_Come Grow With Us & Apply Today!!_** **What We Have To Offer:** + Medical, Dental, Vision + 401k (Kaiser CO HMO). + Weekly Pay & Paid Vacation. + Employee Perks (Discounts @ Apple, Verizon, Ford & more). + Employee Assistance Program (Includes free counseling). + Educational Opportunities with DeVry University. + Financial & Wellness Program. + Free Uniforms/Armed equipment provided. + Referral program. + FREE Eco Pass!! + Career growth opportunities. **Job Duties:** + Patrol assigned site on foot or in a vehicle; check for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances, and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons. + Work directly with law enforcement, government staffing, and the community. + Write detailed incident reports on unauthorized entries, suspicious activity, emergency situations, and any other observed issues. + Security screen all persons coming through the public entrance to ensure prohibited items are not entering facilities. + Monitor surveillance cameras. **Basic Requirements:** + 21 years of age or older. + High School Diploma, GED, OR ability to complete the GED program within 6 months. + Standard computer / technology skills needed - The ability to utilize a tablet, computer, or smartphone. + Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a calm and professional manner. + Must have great attention to detail and have the ability to remain alert throughout the duration of the shift. + Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation. + All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation. + 3 to 5 years of Armed experience. + Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Security Officers. + Must pass pre-hire testing assignment and shooting qualification. + Must have a reliable personal vehicle. + Must have the legal right to work in the United States. + Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English. + Must be able to provide the office with a reliable phone number where the officer can be reached at all times (i.e. cellular). + Must be reliable, accountable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic. + Must have a strong grasp of appropriate and professional verbal/written communication. + Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus. + Must be able to conduct patrols throughout shift. + Must be comfortable conducting access control duties. + With or without reasonable accommodation, the physical and mental requirements of this job may include the following: seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly. + Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. + Frequent sitting, standing, and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain. + Additional physical requirements may include frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
