Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Administrative Assistant to join our team in Shakopee, Minnesota. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a critical role in supporting HR operations, ensuring smooth processes across different areas of the department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking hands-on experience in an entry-level HR role.
Responsibilities:
- Process and update employee records, including onboarding new team members and deactivating separated employees in the HRIS system.
- Notify the payroll team of changes to employee statuses to maintain accurate compensation records.
- Organize and file offer letters and other HR-related documentation efficiently.
- Assist with the preparation of weekly company-wide presentations by coordinating slide content and notifying contributors.
- Provide administrative support to multiple business units, adapting to their unique processes and needs.
- Conduct audits to ensure the accuracy of new employee documentation and separation records.
- Collaborate with internal teams to maintain clear and effective communication across HR functions.
- Utilize HRIS tools and systems (Workday) to manage employee data and generate reports as needed.
- Deliver general administrative support to the HR team, contributing to overall operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Experience in administrative settings.
- Proficiency in systems for managing employee data.
- Familiarity with onboarding procedures and related processes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing documentation and records.
- Ability to create and format presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Competence in using Google Suite and Microsoft Suite for communication and collaboration.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with different teams.
- Flexibility to support multiple business units with varying practices and requirements.
