Description We are looking for a skilled Communication Specialist to join a dynamic nonprofit organization based in Seattle, Washington. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in shaping external communications for clinical services, helping to inform and engage diverse audiences. Responsibilities:
- Create compelling content for social media platforms, websites, staff intranet, and e-newsletters to effectively communicate the organization's mission and services.
- Develop and draft engaging copy with a consistent tone and storytelling approach to captivate and inform target audiences.
- Identify innovative strategies to increase audience engagement and enhance the visibility of the organization.
- Track and analyze social media performance metrics to optimize outreach strategies and improve results.
- Design outreach and promotional messaging that aligns with the organization's branding and communication goals.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure content aligns with organizational priorities and adapts to changing needs.
- Maintain and update website content using WordPress to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Utilize social media management tools such as Hootsuite or Sprout Social to schedule, monitor, and manage posts across multiple channels.
- Assist in creating branded content for email campaigns and newsletters using platforms like Constant Contact.
- Support the development of communication plans to align with strategic objectives. Requirements - Proven ability to write and edit high-quality content tailored for diverse platforms including websites, social media, and newsletters.
- Strong proficiency in managing social media channels such as Instagram, Facebook, X, and LinkedIn.
- Experience using WordPress for website content management.
- Collaborative and adaptable team player with the ability to manage shifting priorities effectively.
- Familiarity with social media management tools like Hootsuite or Sprout Social.
- Knowledge of email marketing platforms such as Constant Contact.
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop and SharePoint is a plus.
- Prior experience in healthcare or clinical communications is highly desirable. Innovation starts with people.®
