**Job Summary:**
Provides strategic writing and project management functions for internal and external messaging platforms. Interacts with departments throughout the organization to guide, coordinate, and execute print and digital publications as well as content for employee website. Works to communicate with target audiences through external web and social media marketing, blogging, e-blasts, media relations opportunities and marketing and communications collateral.
**Job Responsibilities and Requirements:**
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Develops, writes and edits a variety of traditional and online marketing publications. Projects may include quarterly newsletters, digital marketing, internal corporate communications, press releases and other public relations activities. Manages internal and external stakeholders in adhering to publication calendars and deadlines. Partners with internal communications and design teams to ensure the consistency of our brand, tone, and message. Interacts with department managers throughout the company to develop content.
+ Assists with executive blogging and thought leadership messaging vehicles. Proofreads writing for publications and web postings as well as marketing and communications collateral. Provides leadership and mentoring to less experienced team members and translates technically based information into messaging general audiences can understand.
+ Assists in the management of the company's internet marketing efforts and internal communications via the intranet. Develops and follows action plans, timelines, approval processes and job tracking procedures required to ensure efficient work flow of communication projects.
+ Participates in brainstorming discussions with other members of the marketing communications department to generate creative campaign strategies and tactics re: new product launches and product enhancements. Works with graphics staff to produce direct mail pieces, supervises production and mailings, and supports other marketing communications projects as needed.
+ May serve as secondary media spokesperson as needed.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
+ Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or Journalism or equivalent combination of education and experience
EXPERIENCE
+ Seven years' experience writing customer-facing marketing materials and communications
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
+ Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
+ Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
+ Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
+ Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
+ Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
+ Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
+ Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
+ Rare climbing.
